Product Description

This one-size-fits-all Toe Alignment Splint is an effective way of maintaining correct alignment of the bunion during the day. A thin elastic metatarsal band reduces slippage and soft toe straps hold the toes in the correct position to maintain alignment.

The soft but sturdy construction of this splint allows for maximum comfort, while splinting the big toe in a straight position. Although this product was initially designed to be used after bunion surgery, however gently stretching the soft tissues around the big toe joint helps prevent the need for bunion surgery.

It is recommended that you use this product in conjunction with the Bunion Night Splint.

Sold as a single product with a universal size which can be adjusted to suit all sizes of feet and fits left and right foot.

Bunion Day Splint
TThe metatarsal band is made of soft cotton cloth cushioning with a foam interior. This splint includes one large toe strap and three smaller individual straps. You can use the smaller toe straps to correct hammer or claw toes that you may have or take them off and only use the large toe strap for the bunion.

Put the metatarsal band on first so that it goes across your foot. Then put the large toe strap over the toe and tighten the Velcro strip and attach the other side to the outer aspect of the metatarsal band. Finally place the ankle strap around the foot and attach it to the large toe splint. Make sure you adjust the Velcro straps until you feel comfortable. Setting up the splint is slightly awkward the first few times but after 1 or 2 days it becomes easy to set up and use. It is important that you begin to use the product for only 45 minutes to 1 hour initially and then as you feel more comfortable with the feel of the splint, you can use it all day.
